Godzilla turns 65 this year and what better way to celebrate than to have a fully functional guitar made in the Japanese monster’s likeness?

ESP Guitars has done just that. In collaboration with The Alfee guitarist Takamizawa Toshihiko, the company made the Godzilla Guitar “Awakening Version.” The guitar is based on the earlier “Takamiy model,” which debuted at the Godzilla Store in Tokyo last year. In celebration of Godzilla’s 65th anniversary, the original version will be back on display at the store until August 23.

According to the website, the Awakening version comes with an alder body, three-piece hard maple neck, thin U grip shape, ebony fingerboard, purple LED lights, a Floyd Rose bridge, Gotoh tuners and a single EMG-85 pickup.

In total, the guitar will run you 5.55 million yen or approximately $52,658.40. That’s if you can get your hands on one at all. Only five of these guitars are being made in total.

The guitar went on sale August 7 and will be available for pre-order until September 30. More information about the guitar and how to buy it are available on the Godzilla Store website.
