Metal By Numbers is a weekly column in which we look at the top metal sellers and debuts of the week.

This week’s edition of MBN reflects the sales numbers of Black Friday/Record Store Day, so you’ll see a lot of albums posted here that you can’t get anymore (not for cheap anyway) and a lot of albums that haven’t been seen in a while popping up again. This will also probably be the last big week for a while as the year winds down. With the exception of a few live albums and EP’s from notably artists, there aren’t many big releases left in 2018. This is about the time I start to point people to what’s coming in the New Year via the 2019 in heavy metal music Wikipedia page so you can start to whet your appetite for the next great album.
