Killswitch Engage’s Incarnate was one of last year’s best metal releases. Jesse Leach’s return to the band has led to a renaissance of sorts, and the quintet did some great touring (including five NYC dates leading up to it’s release). It took three years for Disincarnate to be released after Disarm the Descentbut it looks like we won’t have to wait that long for their next album. Yesterday (29), they put up an Instagram with their logo stating they’d be working on the follow-up starting in October for a release in 2018:

“Jam sessions starting up in October, demos are getting cranked out! 2018 we will be dropping some music and getting back on the road once again!”

It’ll be interesting to see what they come up with, and also if they remain on Roadrunner, their label for the last 16 years.
