It’s been less than a year since the old school-loving metal band White Wizzard released their first full length album Over The Top. Yet since then, they’ve gone through a crap load of lineup changes. At the moment, White Wizzard is on their third lineup since forming in 2007, with bassist/founding member Jon Leon being the only original member. Damn, they make GN’R and Anthrax look stable! But with a new line up in place (for now), it appears that they’re on the path to moving forward.

In addition to announcing a U.K. tour, White Wizzard has also recorded a new song called “Shooting Star,” which was written as a tribute to the late Ronnie James Dio. This marks the first White Wizzard recording with singer Peter Ellis, who literally just joined the band this past September. The song will be released as a single on iTunes on October 18 and will also feature the band’s cover of Dio’s “We Rock.”

The new White Wizzard song has already been posted online, though, and can be heard below. You can also take a look at a new picture of White Wizzard mark III above, which in addition to Ellis and Leon features Giovanni Durst and Lewis Stephens. You might want to etch it into your memory, since there might be another lineup change by the time you’ve finished listening to “Shooting Star.”
