At times, it’s hard to confirm a particular statement or random outburst, especially when it’s not from the most trustworthy of sources. Yesterday (8) former Fear Factory bassist/guitarist Christian Olde Wolbers posted a photo of his old band on Instagram with a relatively bitter message reading “RIP Fear Factory #fearfactory #rip #metal #sadshit #itsawrap #1990 #2017 #grownassmenthatcantworkoutshit.” His cryptic post made many, including us, question the band’s status despite the fact that he hadn’t been in the band for almost a decade and is currently involved in a legal battle with them. And while, we knew to take it with a grain of salt, a few things didn’t add up, including their removal from Danzig’s Blackest of the Black Festival.
Fans questioned guitarist Dino Cazares via Twitter about this rumor and he confirmed they haven’t broken up. According to Cazares, no one should listen to anyone aside from him or frontman Burton C Bell. Hopefully, this means we WILL expect to see a follow-up from 2015’s Genexus soon enough.

Don’t stress over people in your past. There’s a reason why they didn’t make it to your future. https://t.co/WenVaJM7eH
