If there’s one band that was pretty successful in their day, but most people haven’t thought about in a while, it’s Audioslave. However, they’ve announced that this coming Friday (20), they’ll be reuniting, along with Prophets of Rage, Jackson Browne, Jack Black and more at the Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles. The band, which consists of Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk along with Soundgarden’s Chris Cornell, hadn’t played together since 2005, and had broken up in 2007, one year after their third album, Revelations, was released.

Of course the other three members of Audioslave that aren’t Chris Cornell have been keeping themselves busy with Prophets of Rage, essentially a Rage Against the Machine tribute band with Public Enemy’s Chuck D and Cypress Hill’s B-Real. Both bands will be performing, so if you’re not a Trump fan and you are a RATM/Soundgarden/Audioslave fan, then you’ll probably want to buy tickets for this here. At the very least, it beats the hell out of 3 Doors Down and Toby Keith.

Interestingly enough, many comments on Audioslave’s Facebook page are negative. “Stay the fuck out of politics… unless you want to run for office,” one Facebook user says. “Never buying another album. Not because of you views. But because you are supporting a delusion that a lack of acceptance of Trump as President is a healthy mind set.” Another reads (caps theirs) “THE PEOPLE SPOKE LOUD AND CLEAR. THE PEOPLE DERAILED THE CLINTON POLITICAL MACHINE AOLNG WITH ALL THE ALPHABET NEWS OUTLETS. YOU GUYS ARE CORPORATE SELL-OUTS.”

Anyone that’s ever heard a Rage Against the Machine song knows that the band pretty much rages against the machine. And misspellings aside, they should know that just because the three people behind Rage Against the Machine joined a band with a less-political vocalist doesn’t mean their views are any less. Guess Jack Black has a few less fans as well.

Tickets are on sale now for Friday’s show, but clicking on the link suggested that there weren’t any tickets available, so the show may have already sold out.
