Technology advances at a very fast rate to the point that we can’t even keep up with it. Many bands are adapting their live shows to these new pieces of tech to make their shows more appealing but, as previously mentioned, sometime we can’t keep up with it and problems may arise, just like what happened at a Muse concert where one of their drones crashed into the audience.
Muse played at the London’s O2 Arena and part of their show included large drones floating above the crowd to fit their latest EP also titled Drones. Sadly the drone took mind of its own and decided not to follow what its operator tasked it to do and crashed in down to the audience. According to NME, no fans have reported injuries from the incident and, considering the video below showing it come down slowly, we doubt it was that big of a deal.
The drone malfunctioned during the third of the four residency nights Muse was scheduled to play at the O2 Arena during the song “The Globalist.” The drone was supposed to fly over the audience to sort of represent the band’s drone warfare concept LP after reading Dartmouth professor Brian Glyn Williams’ book Predators: The CIA’s Drone War on Al Qaeda.
Gladly no one got injured so we can mention how funny it is to see the drone slowly collapse to the ground in the video below:
