The deeper we go into 2016, the more festival announcements we get and this time around, Philadelphia’s This Is Hardcore Fest revealed their lineup for 2016 and looks to be a really fun one.
The event will be held in Philadelphia, PA on August 04th-07th and there are some big names like Turning Point, who will be doing a tribute to Frank “Skip” Candelori who died in 2002; Youth of Today, making their second appearance at the festival since they reunited in 2010; and many more you may be more familiar with than us.
The last time we heard about the festival, it was on a much somber note when Crosscheck’s drummer Tom Alderson was allegedly beaten by Ian Adams of Heavy Chains and Suburban Scum vocalist Ryan “Karebear” Taylor, leaving Alderson seriously damaged with “physical injury and trauma to his head and other parts of his body.”
After months in intense therapy, Alderson received clearance from his doctors to go back to his regular routine and has moved on from the incident but we’re hoping this year’s edition doesn’t have the same results and ends up being a good show for everyone. These are the bands confirmed for the festival:
