This year’s Coachella may boast Guns N’ Roses, Volbeat and Deafheaven in its lineup. However, Bonnaroo has booked some impressively heavy acts itself, namely Lamb Of God and Clutch.
Despite most of the bill getting leaked last week, Conan O’Brien officially announced the lineup to this year’s edition of Bonnaroo on Tuesday night’s episode of his talk show, Conan. Lamb Of God and Clutch will be heading down to Tennessee with the likes Pearl Jam, Dead & Company, LCD Soundsystem, Ellie Goulding, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Tame Impala, Death Cab for Cutie, M83, Haim, CHVRCHES and many others. This marks Clutch’s third time performing at Bonnaroo, while marking Lamb Of God’s first time at the festival. Although it may seem odd to see Lamb Of God listed on the same bill as acts like Pearl Jam and Tame Impala, Bonnaroo has done a fine job mixing all types of genres into its lineups (and last year’s edition may have taken the cake by having Slayer and Between The Buried And Me playing the same weekend as Billy Joel and Earth Wind & Fire).
Bonnaroo takes place June 9-12 in Manchester, TN, with tickets going on sale at noon Friday, January 22 online. Also watch video of Conan O’Brien announcing the lineup (and saying Lamb Of God’s name!) below.
