While Metallica might not have made it to the halftime of the Super Bowl, they’ve always got baseball to fall back on. And once again, for the fourth year in a row, the band will be having a night with their home team, the San Francisco Giants. The band made an announcement via their website, stating that Metallica or Giants (or both) fans can pick up special event tickets for the game on Friday, May 6, starting this Black Friday (27). Here’s the info:
We’re honored that our hometown baseball team has invited us back yet again to host the fourth annual Metallica Night at AT&T Park. We’ll all be on hand for Orange Friday, May 6, 2016 as the Giants take the field against the Colorado Rockies, and as always the night will kick off with the National Anthem and first pitch. We’ll stick around all night to cheer on the orange and black with all the loyal fans and keep your eyes peeled to spot us participating in some in between inning action.
Special event tickets for this game go on sale as part of Orange and Black Friday, November 27 at 8:00 AM PST. The special event Metallica ticket package includes a ticket to the game and a limited edition Metallica/Giants goodie that we’ll tell you about at a later date. A portion of the proceeds from every Metallica Day special event ticket will benefit the Surfrider Foundation and Amnesty International.
On Wednesday November 25th at 10:00 AM PST there will be a presale for Met Club members. Log in to the site at that time for a link to purchase your tickets to the game early.
