Stephen Colbert took Halloween very seriously during The Late Show last night. So much so that in addition to dressing up (along with his guests) and decorating his studio, he had Ghost on as the evening’s music guest. Marking the band’s first appearance on American TV, Ghost gave a performance of “Cirice” perfect for the spooky holiday. Grainy camera lens to make it appear as if the viewer was watching a creepy old horror film; check. Audience members turning into zombies, jumping onstage and getting “healed” by Papa Emeritus III; check. A random keytar solo from the stage’s balcony; check. Even Papa’s beloved pope-esq hat (which has been missing from the band’s recent performances) was on hand for the TV ritual.
