First the bad news: Just three dates into the Swamp Leper Stomp tour, Death (DTA) and Cynic drummer Sean Reinert has been forced to exit the tour due to health reasons. Now the good news: they’ve replaced him with another original member of Death, Gene Hoglan. “We wish Sean all the best and that his health will bounce back quickly,” Death lawyer Eric Greif commented. There’s no word on what health issues Reinert is suffering from, but the vagueness is a little unsettling. It’s pretty exciting to see the band go from Human-era to Symbolic-era in just two days. It also speaks volumes about the professionalism of Hoglan that he can just pick up play a show in such a short notice.
