We thought that Revolver Magazine might be trying to distance themselves from the “boobs and metal” angle when we saw that the less than favorite “Hottest Chick In Metal” category was dropped off the ballot of this year’s Golden Gods Awards. So much for that…
This April and May, Revolver Magazine and the Keep A Breast Foundation will be sponsoring the Hottest Chicks in Hard Rock: Hell Hath No Fury tour. Headlining this tour will be In This Moment (featuring last year’s “Hottest Chick In Metal” winner Maria Bank), with support coming from other female fronted groups Straight Line Stitch, System Divide, and Sister Sin. However, the tour now only puts all of the “hottest chicks in hard rock” on the same stage, but is also helping for a good cause. In addition to being sponsored by the Keep A Breast Foundation, a percentage of In This Moment’s CD sales from the tour will go to the charity’s fight against breast cancer, while charity auctions will be held throughout the tour as well. So at least it’s demeaning towards women for a good cause. We’re waiting for a dude version of the tour called Hottest Dicks In Metal. Actually, no, we’re not…
