Could Killswitch Engage Be New England Metal & Hardcore Festival’s ‘Mystery’ Headliner?

Posted by on December 8, 2011

The 14th annual New England Metal & Hardcore Festival isn’t set to take place for another five months or so. However, the festival’s organizers MassConcerts have posted an audio teaser from a “mystery headliner” who’ll be performing at the festival’s 2012 edition. And as Metal Sucks’ points out, the voice heard in the teaser has a strong resemblance to Killswitch Engage singer Howard Jones.

So that leads to the obvious question: is Killswitch Engage one of the headliners for this coming year’s New England Metal & Hardcore Festival? Well it would make a lot of sense if they are. Not only is the Masscore group veterans to the festival, but they’re apparently aiming for a Summer 2012 release for their first album since 2009’s self-titled release. Plus, KSE have reportedly lined up some European festival dates as well.

Judge for yourself and take a listen to the audio teaser in the stream below:

We’ll find out if Killswitch Engage will be performing at the festival soon enough. New England Metal & Hardcore Festival promises on their website that the official lineup and ticket information will be announced Monday, December 12 at noon EST. The 14th annual New England Metal & Hardcore Festival will be held from April 20 to 22 at The Palladium Theatre in Worcester, MA.
