02) Witherfall, “A Tale That Wasn’t Right” (Helloween cover)

Have you listened to Witherfall yet? If you haven’t, you should. There’s something remarkable about this group. Whether it’s their style between progressive and heavy, their songwriting, or Joseph Michael’s vocals, once you listen to them, you can’t stop. There’s a reason why Jake Dreyer joined Iced Earth, and Michael immensely helped Sanctuary continue without the late Warrel Dane. These two have a natural talent, and it shines through everything they do. When we heard them cover Helloween’s “A Tale That Wasn’t Right,” there was something about this track that made it sound like an original. The funny part is, they “didn’t think about it too much,” when they recorded it. The track is taken from the band’s Vintage EP, which was released earlier this year via Century Media.
