First Children of Bodom disbanded, now Bodom After Midnight. Following the passing of frontman Alexi Laiho in December 2020, guitarist Daniel Freyberg decided it would be best to retire the Bodom name after the April 2021 release of Bodom After Midnight’s ‘Paint The Sky With Blood’ EP. Said Freyberg in an interview with Loudwire, “We don’t really feel comfortable using the name Bodom without Alexi, because it’s so connected to him.”

05) Lotus Eater:

The allegations of sexual assault by three woman against Lotus Eater frontman Paul Collins spelt the beginning of the end for the band. In early July 2021, Collins parted ways with the band before the remaining members decided later that month that they would all be calling it a day. According to Kerrang!, not only did they disband, they also deleted all of their social media accounts.

06) Every Time I Die:

Though the band officially broke up in January 2022, rumors of issues within the band go back to at least December 2021. Frontman Keith Buckley and ex-members Andy Williams, Jordan Buckley, Steve Micciche and Clayton Holyoak have been releasing contradictory statements regarding who wanted to oust who from the band. On December 20, Keith Buckley was sent a “cease and desist” letter from the other members, essentially ending 20+ year partnership.
