Rodrigo y Gabriela

Check out: “Orion (Metallica cover)

This duo isn’t necessarily a metal group, but that doesn’t stop this duo of flamenco guitarists from totally shredding. Rodrigo y Gabriela released an extremely unique cover of Metallica’s “Orion” as a part of their self-titled album that gained them a lot of recognition. In fact, their song “Tamacun” was featured in the pilot episode of Breaking Bad. With influences like Slayer, Megadeth and Overkill, Rodrigo y Gabriela are definitely metal musicians despite their lack of a full band, and Testament’s Alex Skolnick popped up on a song on their sophomore album.
