Honorary Mention: Monster Magnet’s “Space Lord”

The first single off of 1998’s Powertrip, “Space Lord” arguably still stands as the stoner rock group’s biggest hit. In fact, it’s music video was actually the first video ever shown on MTV’s one time staple countdown show Total Request Live (playing at number 10 on its very first show). However, the video (a straight up parody of rapper Mase’s “Feel So Good”) really had nothing to do with space, unless if Monster Magnet were trying to use cheerleaders and fireworks as a way to bring aliens down to Las Vegas.
