Maiden has got to be #1. Whenever I make lists, I go “what have I stuck with the longest, what have I listened to the most, and what left the biggest impression on me when I first heard it? Maiden made such an impression because I heard the first record in 1980 and went “oh my God, what is this?” It was like “this isn’t like anything else I’m listening to.” It kind of laid the way for me to get into heavier bands after them.
