We really enjoyed Beastmilk’s debut album, Climax, last year. The Finnish band’s debut isn’t really a metal record, per se, and would appeal more to fans of Christian Death and Bauhaus than anything else. However, their brand of “death rock” struck a chord with us, and it’s fast, dark and just heavy enough for us. That’s why we’re sharing their latest video, “The Wind Blows Through Their Skulls.” Using a whole bunch of old footage from the ’50s and ’60s, it plays on the fear of communism and nuclear war interspersed with footage of people obliviously celebrating. It’s dark and slightly gothic, just like the band. Noisey debuted the video recently, and we’re digging it quite a bit.
The band aren’t playing any American dates this Summer, but they’ll be at festivals and also playing with In Solitude and Obnoxious Youth. You can check out those dates here.
