In the circle of life, it’s hard to find anyone more despicable than anyone that would steal musical instruments. Yet Madball found themselves the victims of instrument theft this past weekend. It looks like thieves made off with a pair of BC Rich Mockingbird guitars (1983 and 1999 models), which the band say are irreplaceable. This is pretty much the opposite of the sense of community that hardcore has. Here’s what the band had to say about the loss via their Facebook page:
We would like to reach out to you, our fans and supporters for your help right now. We had some band equipment stolen this past weekend, including some of our guitars which are irreplaceable. If you’re a fan of Madball, or just someone who would like to help, please keep your eyes open for these guitars that we will post pictures of. Check your local guitar store, pawn shop, anywhere someone might look to turn these into cash. This happened in the NY area, so that’s the focus of our attention, but New Jersey, Connecticut, anywhere is a possibility. If you come across these, please contact us ASAP so we can pursue further action. Thanks!
Keep in mind that while there’s a bunch of rack gear and a Marshall amp in the picture, it’s only the guitars that are missing. Also, if you’re reading this and you stole the band’s gear, you should a) go to hell and b) hope you don’t get caught, because street justice will catch up with you.
