Sleaford Mods, The Demise Of Planet X (Rough Trade):
According to frontman Jason Williamson, the UK electro-punk duo’s 13th album “represents a life lived under immense uncertainty, shaped by mass trauma.” Louder Than War says it does so with “vivid sonics, acerbic words, enveloping atmospheres and an engaging wit across 13 tracks that will move hearts, minds and feet.”
Greywind, Severed Heart City (FLG):
The sibling emo duo return with their second studio album, which they describe as “an extended allegory for the stages of trauma, and one’s inner struggle to find resolution… There are many roads that lead to the heart of this broken city, but there is only one bridge out – one of acceptance and hope.”
Kreator, Krushers of the World (Nuclear Blast):
The veteran metal band releases its 16th studio effort, which finds them “mindful of their early days while simultaneously progressing uncompromisingly, unstoppable in their search for new realms to conquer and new worlds to krush.”
Soen, Reliance (Silver Lining):
According to Bravewords, the Swedish prog metal band’s seventh studio album “continue[s] to find incredible new pathways into the spatial areas between light and dark, loud and calm, heavy and soothing.”
Ov Sulfur, Endless (Century Media):
The band’s sophomore full length, as described on their Bandcamp, “shatters deathcore boundaries, unleashing a torrent of black metal ferocity and unexpectedly heartfelt melody.”
