TMZ reports a review is currently underway to confirm and clarify the official cause of death of Ace Frehley. The Morris County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the original KISS guitarist, who passed away on October 16, 2025, will now receive a toxicology screening and external body examination. It has been revealed that no autopsy was performed. The results of the toxicology test should arrive within the coming weeks.
Frehley reportedly died peacefully surrounded by family in Morristown, New Jersey, nearly two weeks after suffering a second fall at home that led to a brain bleed. After being placed on life support, his family made the difficult decision to remove him from the ventilator. Frehley was 74 years old.
