Hard to believe that it’s been two years since God Forbid released Earthsblood. And since departing with longtime label Century Media Records, the band have been keeping quiet as they record a follow up. Last night, though, it was announced that the NJ metallers have signed a new merchandising, publishing and recording deal with Victory Records.

God Forbid drummer Corey Pierce had the following to say about signing to Victory Records:

“We are so excited to be a part of the Victory family. We are very proud to bring our music too all the maniacs out there who are fans of the band as well as this label. We look forward to starting a powerful partnership which will bring a new energy to the metal world.”

This now makes God Forbid label mates with bands like A Day To Remember, Otep, and Ill Nino. Considering the success they’ve had with those bands (and bands like Darkest Hour and Between The Buried And Me in the past), we’d say that God Forbid have found a solid new home. No word on when their new album will be completed or released.
