According to multiple reports, Shannon Larkin and Tony Rombola left Godsmack last year, though the band has yet to make an official statement. In a since-deleted video, Larkin reportedly explained that after discussions with Sully Erna and Robbie Merrill, he and Rombola decided to step away from touring, citing personal reasons rather than any conflict or health concerns.
Larkin allegedly stated that the split was amicable and that he and Rombola are already working on new music. Meanwhile, Will Hunt (Evanescence) and Sam Bam Koltun (Dorothy, Faster Pussycat) have been filling in on the band’s current European tour. While Larkin’s comments suggest a finalized decision, an official announcement from Godsmack is reportedly expected in due time.
