Faroe Islands-based folk metal outfit Týr will finally make their way to North America, as the group has announced Battle Ballads North American Headlining Tour for spring 2024. It is set to kick off on March 28th in Baltimore, Maryland, and conclude on April 26th in Greensboro, North Carolina, the trek will feature support from Trollfest, Æther Realm, and The Dread Crew Of Oddwood. Additionally, the run will coincide with the release of Týr’s upcoming album with the same name. This marks the group’s first North American tour since before the pandemic in 2019. “It is with great joy that we announce our return to the US and Canada. It’s been too long, and we have missed the people, the cities, and the vast landscapes dearly. It warms our heathen hearts to think that we will soon see all your familiar faces again, and probably, hopefully, a few people we have not seen before.
