New York’s masked metal force, Kissing Candice, marks a rebirth with a video for their new single “Skeletons,” featuring Heidi Shepherd of Butcher Babies. Known for their theatrical performances, the track coincides with new masks and their appearance at Louder Than Life Festival in 2023.

The band comments:

“All things must grow, or risk dying. It is with this in mind that Kissing Candice moves on to their next evolutionary phase with ‘skeletons’ signifying the strong foundation we will build upon.”

Metal Insider caught up with vocalist Aunt Donna to reveal their top five horror films, just in time for Halloween:

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre always makes the cut, and I don’t just mean the original. I am a fan of the whole franchise, including some of the remakes. There’s just something about the character, leather face, and of course the weapon of choice a chainsaw! The character is so dirty and gross yet so beautiful always a go-to horror movie for me

The original Scream will forever have a place in my heart. When it first came out there was nothing like it at all. It has a very original great storyline, great kills, great characters, and a great twist. It’s a real masterpiece that is timeless.

The Saw movies. Obviously, nothing will beat the original, but I am a big fan of the whole franchise. Talk about a roller coaster ride. Every movie is filled with gore, story plots, and twists and turns. Even some of the newer ones that have come out and got a lot of hate on. I always gave it a fair chance. There’s something about jigsaw and his message that is very unique to me.

Troll 2 is the worst/best horror movie in the world!!! Anyone who actually hates this movie and takes it seriously does not appreciate horror movies. I’ve been obsessed with this movie since I was a little kid and remember watching it on TV and questioning what was going on but I couldn’t turn away. It stayed with me up until this point in my life and always will. I even have tattoos from the movie. We have a song named after the movie my license plate on my truck is from the movie. It’s just so cheesy and campy yet so brilliant.

The Cabin in the Woods is the perfect blend of horror and comedy with an absolute mind-blowing twist. I fell in love with each and every character in that movie from the slasher characters, to the monsters, to the strange and unusual. It’s such a well-thought-out piece of film.

By no means are these five horror movies in any order. These are just the ones that pop into my head when I think top five but my list could go on for miles and miles. I will leave you with these five to dwell on and if you haven’t given them a watch yet, please do so.”
