Megadeth has recorded a new song for the video game Never Dead. The song, simply titled “Never Dead,” can be heard in a new trailer for the game and sounds like good old Megadeth. You can hear a snippet of the song in the video up top. The trailer starts at the 22 minute mark while the song actually comes in at the 24 minute mark.

Believe it or not, this is the third time Megadeth wrote an original song for the video game. The first was a song recorded for the launch of Gears Of War which was also named after game, and was later included in 2007’s United Abomination. Then came “Sudden Death,” which was recorded last year for Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock and earned the band a Grammy nomination. Seeing how involved Megadeth are with video games, maybe they will be next in line to get their own Guitar Hero game series instead of just one song. Oh waitRock Band still an option?

Whether anything else will come of “Never Dead” is still unknown, but given that Megadeth is currently in the studio recording, it’s not too much of a stretch to think that the song will be included on the new album. We’ll keep you posted if more develops.
