Chris Cornell had one of the most unique and expressive voices in rock, and his passing is still resonating throughout the music community. And while he was best-known as the voice of Soundgarden, He had quite a few hits with Audioslave, a project featuring him alongside former Rage Against the Machine members Tom Morello, Brad Wilk and Tim Commerford. Last year, System of a Down’s Serj Tankian joined the three, now in Prophets of Rage, for a cover of “Like A Stone.”Several days ago in Auckland, NZ, the four reprised the role, performing it again. This time, Cornell’s widow Vicki noted it and in a tweet, thanked the band for keeping Chris Cornell’s memory alive.
Thank you @serjtankian @tmorello #TimmyC #BradWilk @prophetsofrage for your love -honoring and keeping @chriscornell ‘s memory alive. Thank you to the fans in Auckland,NZ – I know he was with you all tonight! #Audioslave https://t.co/yXd3ftvr0H
