Last night (8), Scorpions cancelled the remaining tour dates of their massive North American Crazy World tour with Megadeth. This was one of the biggest packages of the season, which kicked off earlier last month. Despite having one week left, their run was unfortunately cut short due to vocalist Klaus Meine having “severe laryngitis.” Meine was advised by a throat specialist that he must rest his voice or else he could face serious damage.
The band shared the following statement:
“The Scorpions regretfully announce that due to severe laryngitis, the remainder of the U.S. 2017 tour w/ Megadeth will be cancelled.
Klaus Meine has been advised by top throat specialist in Los Angeles to rest his voice. If he continues the tour, he could risk permanent vocal damage.
The band stated, ‘that they truly hate to disappoint our fans, and hope to come back to America soon, but this time we have no choice but to cancel.’ – SCORPIONS
