When Avenged Sevenfold released The Stage about a year ago, they weren’t done with it. Since then, they’ve released not only another original song (“Dose”), but have covered everything from Mr. Bungle’s “Retrovertigo” to the Beach Boys. Yesterday, they released a seventh song (and sixth cover. And to follow up the Beach Boys’ “God Only Knows,” they chose another rock staple, this one Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here.” The accompanying video shows them on tour with Metallica, which looks fun. As for the song, it’s a pretty faithful rendition of the track, and not bad at all, but it’s not like you’re going to want to listen to it over the original. When the special edition of The Stage comes out, it’ll be worth picking up, however. Below the video, we’ve made a Spotify playlist of the b-sides they’ve released so far.
