We’re closing in on one month since the awful accident that claimed the life of Adrenalibe Mob’s David Zablidowsky and has tour manager Janet Rains in bad condition with “catastrophic injuries” in the burn unit of a Gainesville, FL hospital. And while the crash was tragic, there was a press conference this past Thursday in Wilkes-Barre, PA by Rains’ attorneys suggesting that there’s going to be a lawsuit against the trucking company.
Attorneys Ed Ciarimboli and Greg Fellerman stated some of the deetails of the crash in addition to giving updates on those injured in it. The Times Leader reports that the truck, which was dipatched by Florida’s Twiss Transporation, crossed at least one full lane od traffic before hitting the band’s RV, which was split in half. Ciarimboli updated the press on sound man Rob Dressler, who was also involved in the crash. He’s returned home, but is still recovering from injured. As Ciarimboli said:
Each one of the band members was injured significantly in this crash, and they all continue to treat and recover from the injuries they sustained,” he said. “A number of individuals have brain injuries. There’s broken bones. There’s been a number of surgeries. No one — and obviously the unfortunate death of David — escaped this horrific crash without a devastating physical or psychological injury.”
The attorney stated that the trucking company has a spotty history when it comes to safety, and they’re still waiting on toxicology tests to come back for the driver. While money won’t bring back David Z, it will at least help those injured, who likely have mounting medical bills.
