Guns N’ Roses have pulled off quite a few solid covers in their day, from “Live and Let Die” to “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door.” However, as they kicked off their European tour in Dublin yesterday (26), the band pulled off one they hadn’t before – Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun.” The tributes to Cornell will continue to roll in, and with this as one of their most popular songs, this will probably the one you’ll be hearing the most. While Axl’s voice isn’t quite a match for Cornell’s, he’s still versatile enough to pull it off and it’s a fitting tribute to one icon from another.
