Here’s a wake-up call for you: System of a Down are pretty much classic rock now. Their landmark 2001 album Toxicity is over 15 years old now. That means that when Motionless in White covered “Chop Suey” from that album this past Friday on the first date of their tour with Falling In Reverse, they were taking a risk that some of those in attendance might not have even been alive when that song came out. Thankfully, as you can hear from the response, everyone seemed to know it, and a mass singlalong resulted. They actually do a pretty good job with it too, although Singer Chris Cerulli can’t quite nail the high notes. Both Motionless in White and System of a Down have new music coming out this year, but MiW will strike first, with Graveyard Shift coming soon on Roadrunner.
