If you keep wondering how much your favorite bands make when they head out on the road, Billboard‘s Boxscore released their latest batch of earnings and attendance from many artists, and we’ve summarized them here for you.
Last time we reviewed some touring numbers, we looked at some the festivals cruising across the country like Vans Warped Tour and Taste of Chaos and now we can take a look at another metal entity in the festival scene: The Summer Slaughter. The festival has been going strong for several years and has come across some difficulties in its entire history but nothing serious to stop them from organizing it year after year. This year, the touring package consists on big names like Cannibal Corpse, Nile and Suffocation and we actually saw it in its glory a few days back but we’ll see if that’s the case throughout the entire journey. As usual, we have numbers for other bands we believe will catch your attention. These are the bands paying for extra leg-room during their flights:

If you look at those numbers, they seem very slim considering the expected attendance and the caliber of the headliners, but we should also consider that these figures come from a Florida date, which we have seen in the past are rough on touring bands. Having said that, the same argument becomes null once you look at those 311 numbers in Boca Raton, FL so it’s obvious what kind of music Florida prefers, even though they birthed most of the classic death metal bands from the 90’s.
