Some new Soundgarden hit the internet earlier this morning. The new song, “Storm,” may be part of a new album, as alluded to by guitarist Kim Thayil in this interview just a few months ago with the Dallas Observer:
“When we are done touring and when [drummer] Matt Cameron is done working with Pearl Jam, we will sit down and get something done. That should be in 2015.”
According to the Pearl Jam website they’re done touring, so maybe this is the start of a new album for the mighty Soundgarden. The band also posted a new piece of artwork to their Facebook page without comment (see below). Their latest album, King Animal, came out in 2012.
