As you most likely know by now, Anthrax will be performing a horribly kept secret show on September 12 at the Best Buy Theater in New York City. What many fans may not know, though, is that this isn’t Anthrax’s first time performing as the Satan’s Lounge Band. The band often would perform surprise shows at L’amour in Brooklyn, NY back in the late 80’s under the alias name. It’s a moment in Anthrax history that only a select group of fans can say they witnessed…until now.
Anthrax recently discovered footage from one of these early Satan’s Lounge Band gigs. This one particular video them covering “Caught In A Mosh” was filmed during a show in December, 1989. You can watch the archival footage posted online above.
Speaking of the Satan’s Lounge Band, you’ve probably heard that we’re giving away two pairs of tickets to their upcoming “secret show.” While we still suggest you pre-order Worship Music to guarantee yourself a ticket, you should go to the original post to find out how to win. Hurry, because you have until Wednesday, September 7, to enter.
