Now that KISS and a lot of their fans are old enough to be those depressing people that wheel oxygen machines around casino floors while pumping quarters into slots for hours on end, it’s about high time KISS unveiled their own slot machine, which they’ll be doing next week at the Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas. The KISS slot game was made by WMS Gaming Inc., and to unveil it, Ace Frehley and Peter Criss will be at the WMS booth next Tuesday from 10am until noon. Nah, we’re just yanking your chain. As far as Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons are concerned, those two don’t exist any more. The Starchild and the Demon will be there though.
To be fair, if you’re a slot player, it looks like a solid game. KISS tunes play while you’re losing (or maybe winning) money, and there’s surround sound. The graphics look good, but if you’re anything like me, you had no idea what was going on half the time in the above video. Maybe one day, you’ll just be able to walk up to Paul and Gene and hand them your money. Until then, the KISS slot machine seems like a pretty good middle man.
“We’ve spent 40 years bringing our spectacle music and the KISS experience to life on stages around the world,” Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons said together, at the same time, in a statement. “We’re blown away by this new cutting edge slot game. WMS has done an incredible job of capturing the energy of KISS and bringing our classic rock to life on the casino floor.”
