This year’s lineup of Bamboozle was already shaping up to be an odd billing. In addition to headliners Bon Jovi, Foo Fighters, Blink 182, Skrillex, Incubus and Mac Miller, the NJ festival had already confirmed appearances by All-American Rejects, Whitechapel, Andrew Dice Clay, Jimmy Eat World, Periphery, We Came As Romans, and ex-Hanoi Rocks’ frontman Michael Monroe (just to name a few). And yesterday, as part of their Bamboozle’s “Honorary President” contest, another 24 bands were confirmed for the festival.

Among the newly announced bands are Volbeat and Buckcherry. Compared to some of the other already confirmed acts (seriously, why is Pauly D there?), these two bands aren’t the most shocking additions to Bamboozle’s already random lineup. However, Buckcherry and Volbeat also aren’t exactly the typical groups you’d expect to see at the one time pop punk heavy festival (or at least not like other newly announced bands like Brand New, Less Than Jake and Attila).

And yet there’s still about 16 more acts left to be confirmed for this year’s Bamboozle, being held at Asbury Park, NJ from May  18 to 20. It’s really anyone’s guess as to who else the organizers were able to grab for the bill. You can check out the 24 newly confirmed bands after the jump.
