The coronavirus pandemic has been taking its toll on just about everything. Unfortunately, this outbreak can result in premature reporting and assumptions. Earlier this morning, the German news outlet, Bild, led us, and many media outlets believe Rammstein vocalist Till Lindemann was in the ICU after testing positive with COVID-19. However, while he was hospitalized, the singer tested negative. The band issued the following statement:

“Yesterday evening Till Lindemann was admitted to a hospital on the band’s doctor’s advice. He spent the night in intensive care but has been moved as he is feeling better. Till has tested negative for the coronavirus.”

False reporting sadly happens more frequently, which should be monitored in all things news and media. 2020 started with a misleading article on Radar Online, citing how Ozzy Osbourne was on his deathbed, which, of course, turned out to be false. During this time of crisis, it’s unfortunate that Lindemann’s illness was instantly assumed as coronavirus.
