Trent Reznor, Wes Borland, Dita Von Teese & Sharon Osbourne respond to Marilyn Manson’s abuse allegations

Nine Inch Nails mastermind Trent Reznor and Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland have both spoken out against Marilyn Manson in the wake of abuse allegations the shock rocker is facing. These allegations have initially been made by actress Evan Rachel Wood as more women have come forward sharing their traumatic experiences of sexual assault and abuse, which Wood continues to share new posts throughout her Instagram Stories

Reznor and Manson have a long history with each other, including Reznor producing Manson’s 1994 debut album, Portrait Of An American Family, and 1996’s Antichrist Superstar, which were both released through his Nothing Records label. The friendship between the two dwindled in the late 90s and they eventually made peace with each other by 2017. Reznor issued a new statement to Pitchfork, which addresses an anecdote involving Manson’s 1998  autobiography, The Long Hard Road Out Of Hell, which details a horrific scene suggesting the two were allegedly involved in physically and sexually assaulting an intoxicated woman together.

Reznor’s statement:

“I have been vocal over the years about my dislike of Manson as a person and cut ties with him nearly 25 years ago. As I said at the time, the passage from Manson’s memoir is a complete fabrication. I was infuriated and offended back when it came out and remain so today.”

Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland, who was a touring member of Marilyn Manson’s band in 2008, has also responded to the abuse allegations that were raised by Evan Rachel Wood, and other women against the shock rocker. Borland appeared on Twitch channel, Space Zebra, on Tuesday (2nd), and commented with the following:

“Marilyn Manson… I was in the band for nine months. He’s not a great guy. And every single thing that people have said about him is fucking true. So relax about the allegations towards the women… Like when people [say bad things about] these women that are coming after him right now… Fuck off. They are speaking the truth. And I’m sorry to everyone on this podcast right now who doesn’t like this, but that guy — he’s amazingly talented, but he’s fucked up and he needs to be put in check and he needs to get sober and he needs to come to terms with his demons. He is a bad fucking guy. I was there when he was with Evan Rachel Wood. I was at his house. It’s not fucking cool. And that’s all I’m gonna say about it. So if anyone is coming after these girls and going, like, ‘You blah blah blah, this and that,’ fuck you. That’s all I’m gonna say. Sorry to take this to a dark place, but that guy is canceled. Goodbye. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.”

Rose McGowan, who was previously engaged to Manson, spoke out in support of Wood on Twitter just a few hours after the Westworld star went public on Monday. According to Page Six, former porn star Jenna Jameson revealed she ended her relationship with Manson because he bit her during sex and had fantasies about burning her alive. Burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese, who was with Manson for several years and married from 2005 to 2006, has broken her silence last night (3rd) via Instagram:

“I have been processing the news that broke Monday regarding Marilyn Manson. To those who have expressed your concerns of my well-being, I appreciate your kindness. Please know that the details made public do not match my personal experience during our 7 years together as a couple. Had they, I would not have married him in December 2005. I left 12 months later due to infidelity and drug abuse. Abuse of any kind has no place in any relationship. I urge those of you who have incurred abuse to take steps to heal and the strength to fully realize yourself. This is my sole statement on this matter,” Von Teese concluded. “Thank you for respecting this request.”

Sharon Osbourne has opened up on yesterday’s (3rd) episode of her TV show The Talk, responding to her working relationship with Manson:

“I’ve known Marilyn for 25 years. I’ve worked with him for many, many years, and, obviously, I would not know what goes on in his bedroom; neither do I want to. But as far as people who’ve been going on all my socials, calling me names and things and putting up pictures of Marilyn and I, you know, there’s something called a working relationship, and that’s what I’ve had with Marilyn for many years. I know nothing about his sexual preferences or the way he treats women. I know how he treats an older woman, which is me, and he’s always been respectful.”

In the wake of these abuse allegations, Manson has since been dropped by his label, Loma Vista Recordings, and his upcoming TV appearances have been cut. Manson has been quiet for the most part aside from a statement he made on Monday (1st) evening, denying all claims against him.
