Phil Rudd pleads not guilty after latest arrest

Posted by on August 3, 2015

If you have seen the headlines about Phil Rudd in the past few months, you may have noticed that not all of them involve his former band AC/DC, except for the fact that Rudd may be in denial and believes he’ll be back playing “Highway to Hell” with the rest of the boys in the future. Things have gotten tangled a tad more after he was arrested again last month in New Zealand, now over charges of possession and consumption of alcohol.

Last time he was charged with something, it was for threatening to kill his former assistant, to which he pleaded guilty and received a sentence of 8 months of house arrest, but now, Rudd pleaded not guilty of the possession of alcohol charges. When he was asked if he was nervous about the outcome, Rudd replied:

No, the only thing I’m nervous about is I don’t, I don’t actually don’t know what’s going on.

A New Zealand judge decided to scheduled his hearing November, allowing Rudd to remain in his house instead of sending him to jail. Let’s just hope that nothing else happens between today and the day of his hearing unless the sole purpose of this is to make Rudd’s lawyers extremely rich, which I’m sure at this rate, will get there really soon.
