At first glance I thought, “finally! A metal band honoring Steve Jobs!” But the LA-based Mac Sabbath worship the other cult of Mac, the Big Mac.
From the band’s Facebook page:
“MAC SABBATH” Is indeed: Ronald Osbourne and the whole gang in full regalia playing all their hits like “Sweet Beef” and “Chicken for the Slaves” in a multi-media show with video, theatrics, audience participation and sing alongs.”
Trademark violation lawsuits be damned, Mac Sabbath have recently headlined the Long Beach Zombie Walk, and naturally have some sweet merch as well. One of the members is (apparently) Mike Odd from the band Rosemary’s Billygoat, and of course the guitarist’s name is Slayer McCheese.
