Deftones possible new album coverDeftones have been patiently doling out bits and pieces of information about their new album, Gore. We first saw a leaked track listing to an album called Gore, which turned out to be correct. Then a teaser last week gave us a riff from a song, which was expanded yesterday with a one-minute teaser for a song called “Prayers/Triangles.” Earlier today, the band chose to premiere the song via Apple Music’s Beats 1. Host Zane Lowe did an interview with Deftones singer Chino Moreno about the song and album, and in between it, they played the song, a 3 1/2 minute track that’s trademark Deftones. There’s Moreno’s melodic and sometimes pained-souding vocals, Stephen Carpenters shoegazey guitars, and a soaring chorus that won’t disappoint any Deftones fans. Moreno calls it a “good representation of where we are now.” Give it a listen below and let us know what you think.
