After releasing their debut full length last year, Butcher Babies have decided to follow it up with an EP of covers. Coming out on Century Media on October 7, the band have released a teaser video for Uncovered in which you can hear short snippets of each song. Pretty much just long enough to know that none of them sound remotely like the original. The songs being covered on the EP are:

“Beer Drinkers and Hell Raiser” (ZZ Top)
“They’re Coming to Take Me Away” (Napoleon XIV)
“Don’t Give a Fuck” (Suicidal Tendencies)
“Crazy Horses” (The Osmonds)
“Pussy Whipped” (S.O.D.)

Okay, the S.O.D. cover sounds sort of like the original from the brief snippet heard, but none of the others do. It’s interesting they’re covering The Osmond’s “Crazy Horses,” a relatively obscure song by ’70s teen idols The Osmonds. We wrote about that song a few years ago and noted that it sounded a lot better slowed down. Check that video out below.
