Earlier this year, Cynic released Kindly Bent to Free Us, an album that showed the band continuing to stretch further away from conventional metal and in even more of a progressive direction than they already were. It was just last week that the two main members, Paul Masvidal and Sean Reinert, acknowledged that they were gay, which took a lot of courage on their part, even though the majority of the metal community embraced it. At any rate, the band also announced that this summer, they’ll be touring North America with Lesser Key. We are the City and The Reign of Kindo will be alternating as openers. In fact, we can only think of one person that might not want to go. Here are the dates, courtesy of Lambgoat.
